Background
The National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe (NMMZ) is a leading institution responsible for the preservation and promotion of Zimbabwe’s cultural and natural heritage. As part of its strategic shift towards financial sustainability, NMMZ seeks to engage a qualified and experienced Professional Fundraiser/Business Development Expert to mobilize resources through partnerships, commercialization initiatives, and donor engagement.
Scope of Services
The Professional Fundraiser/Business Development Expert will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a capital mobilization strategy.
- Securing grants, sponsorships, partnerships, and private investments.
- Supporting the commercialization of NMMZ’s real estate, research, and heritage assets.
- Identifying and negotiating Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).
- Enhancing the institution’s international fundraising footprint.
The assignment will be commission-based, with clear deliverables and targets agreed upon prior to engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in resource mobilization, business development, or fundraising, ideally within the heritage, tourism, or development sectors.
- Strong networking abilities with donors, investors, and development agencies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and proposal writing skills.
- Knowledge of PPPs, grants management, and heritage-related fundraising will be an advantage.
- At least a degree in Marketing or equavalent
